Below is a video showing a water surface
tension experiment. There are many surface tension experiments
of water or other liquid surface tension experiments. Below is
a simple water surface tension experiment that you can do at
home using just a glass of water and a paperclip.

experiment, lowering surface tension of water
What is surface tension?
Surface tension is the force required to
break a film of length 1 centimeter. Surface tension is
measured in dynes per centimeter.
What is the surface tension of water?
Water has different surface tensions at
different temperatures. At 20 degrees, water has the surface
tension of 72.8 dynes/cm. The surface tension decreases as the
temperature of water increases.
