Floating Egg Science Experiment 2

Equipment needed for the Floating Egg Science Experiment 2

Floating egg science experiment Stage 2 is as easy as the original Floating egg science experiment. The only equipment needed are two glasses, salt, one egg, and water.

Method of the Floating Egg Science Experiment 2

1. Fill one glass half full of fresh water.
2. Fill one glass half full of very salty water (such as from the original Egg floating experiment).
3. Very carefully pour the fresh water into the salt water. Try not to let the liquids mix.
4. Gently lower the egg into the water that is half salt water and half fresh water.

Result of the Floating Egg Science Experiment 2

The egg should float on salt water and sink in fresh water. The result looks like the egg is suspended in the middle of the glass. This is sometimes used in Magic show for children.
